Decided to give ourselves a break and I am so so busy that don't have time to muck out, so turfed the horses out in the fields for tonight and christmas eve (back in on christmas as hunting on boxing day). They all have an extra rug on, only two are clipped, they will be fine wont they?!

They will love it, they'll think it's Christmas!! - Oh, it is

I've currently got two thoroughbreds (one in foal), a "baby" Sports Horse (19 months old) plus two ponies living out (they will come in eventually, but I'm just SOOOOO busy at work - freelance groom, and no time for my own!). The ponies eat the hay I chuck out in their field (bale a day) as there's just about zero grass but the other three have a HUGE meadow with masses of grass (I know there's no goodness in it at this time of year) and they don't bother to clear the hay I put in their field - good quality stuff not "pony grade"! All well rugged up (TBs have four rugs on, including heavyweight full neck turnouts and even the ponies have two turnouts on. All seem happy, so leave your's out for a few days - they'll probably enjoy it!
