And dropping this photo off which my friend sent me of my old lady yesterday afternoon.
Unfortunately once she heard my engine pull up she was straight up.

I still haven't caught mine lying down even though I've had him a year, apparently any moment not spent eating is a moment wasted :rolleyes:
 
After 10 years I just know I won't see her lying down unless she's ill! Which is a good thing I guess. Just knows me as food woman!
 
I would love to catch my girl snoozing, I know she lays down every night and often uses poo mountain as a pillow! I have only ever seen her down when ill and it really isn't the same :(

You can tell they're getting old and loving new yard when they have occasional afternoon snoozes :)
I come down evening to finish off and all her poo is flatten some days! They must be nap time!
And Billie1007 I know! It's more a stressful time! Rushing to check what's wrong and calling the vet! :/
 
I love seeing them having an afternoon nap, I had had my mare for 1 day and found her like this in the field....

Aww I love seeing them lie down too. I took OH to feed horseys the other day and the baby welshie just sat down in the middle of eating her dinner as I went to check the water! She was getting up as I came back, OH was like oh she's just having a sit down, tired I guess! I was checking for signs of illness and fretting but no.. she just likes to lie down!
 
I catch dee sleepin all the time. :) I sit down with her and she will lay flat out with her head in my lap. 1...2....3.... Awwww! :D

I do love your girlie! Her face is priceless! How old is she? X
 
Look at that planking horse!!! Hahah! That's brilliant! I think I'd have such a heart attack if I saw old lady lying like that!

Awwwww you're so lucky :) I'd love to cuddle Kalyeigh, but she's more interested in food :/. And she's 24, not very old but she reminds me of a grumpy old woman how she acts. She always looks so shocked!
 
Mine always lay down in the afternoon if its sunny, I can go out and sit with them and they are quite happy with that idea. When my old mare was a foal if I sat in the stable she would lay in my lap. This had to stop when she became a 14.2hh lump!! So now she will just lay her head in my lap. The two big ones usually lay back to back leaning on each other for comfort, so sweet.:)
 
My Girl's owner never saw her lay down in three years. I must be doing something right because I very often see her lay down! never flat out, but long enough to have a sit down with her and to take a photo. Her owner is now very jealous! :D
