Roo has the thickest coat out of all the horses at the yard, think its the shire side of her coming out.
I havent put a rug on her, as her coat is so thick I don't think she needs one, last night it was really cold and I thought about putting her lightweight on but then thought no point as she has such a thick coat. Am thinking of leaving her without rugs until I clip her (don't know when that will be) but I don't know if this is mean or if its the right thing.

Thanks
Nickie

I'd only put a waterproof on if it's bucketing down (which it's going to the next few days)

Is she warm in the mornings? If so, i'd just leave her till clipped...

Leave her until she is clipped! Mine have had a full clip and still only have their rainsheets on at night (out 24/7) so I am really mean 'cos they are naked in the day!! Except in rain obviously.....

Rainsheets on last night and will be for the next couple of days due to the weather but other than that out 24/7 unrugged.
