It's actually a sunken road that's part of our cross country course. He's only a youngster, so we thought it would be good for him to figure out how to get in and out himself, without me on board - and he has, he hops in and out now like it's not there.
does anyone else think it's dangerous to turn him out here?

Personally I wouldnt but Im a huge worrywart! So long as its big enough that he could fully roll over in it (i.e. not get cast) then thats fine I'd have thought.
