Just what is it with pricing horses? Please explain.

I've recently come across two horses for sale at two different dealer's yards. Both dealers are very reputable and I thought trustworthy and would have considered buying from both before.
Both horses are being totally mis-represented with blatant lies in the ads. I'm actually worried about people's safety as one says suitable novice ride when I know its very sharp and the other says ideal pony club when there's no way on earth you'd want to put a child on it and set it fee at a rally!!!
Need I say both are pretty expensive too?

I'm sure that there must be reliable dealers out there but I'm yet to come across one... We had a very bad experience with a pony dealer who advertises every week in H&H and now know of many others who have too. Found out too late, though!
