Just when everythings going well...

Why is it always the way?? I have entered Ben in a hunter trial on Sunday - everything was going well, we have discovered some steering (fulmer waterford), schooling and jumping seems to have clicked into place. His sexy new show kit is ready and clean... and now i have a throat infection (severly swollen tonsil with pus on - yummmmmmm!!) so I am back at home for some TLC (Mum - "it better b***** not infect me, its the shooting season and I cant afford to be ill....")
Feeling miserable, I have got penicillin and a mountin of painkillers and what not.... but please can I have some cheering up, a funny story will suffice!!!

p.s - I also cant eat very well, not even Ben and Jerrys - *sob* :(
 
ahh lots of hugs - things always happen to me like that too :) normally when you're stressing and done a lot, these things tend to come out xx hope you get better soon - chicken soup and stuff! xx
 
Yuk - throat infections are so horrible! I find gargling with salt water (yuk) and drinking soluble aspirin can help with the pain. The salt cleans it and the aspirin gets to it directly.

If you want a funny story - my colleague at work was messing about in the office yesterday and tripped over a set of drawers in front of the boss. He went flying - hilarious.

Also - catching my horse in the dusk last night. He decided it would be hilarious to wrench the rope out of my hands and gallop off - twice! It was a case of stern words and leadrope round the nose in the end! Oh and foody distractions! Little b*gger!
