Friend has stunning WB who has attitude.

She works for v well known showjumper and horse has been down there with her.
Horse is maga talented, but isnt very coperative.
Some days he goes out and jumps his heart out, and when he does he is usually placed (won his first 1.10). However he is not consistant, some days he just decides he isnt playing today.
He isnt very friendly either.

Would you put up with the win some/lose some, or get rid for something more consistant, if not as talented (on a good day)?

I would guess he will be sent to a dealer, but just wondered what you would do if he was yours?

Depends if I had a bond with him, or thought I could work through his problems.
If no bond, and he was beyond my skill to fix, I may consider finding him a new home

TBH I wouldnt persist. I assume she's been trying to sort it out in a while?

I had a horse exactly the same, most of the time he'd just start napping suddenly in the ring but when he was in a good mood he'd do really well. He was perfect in lessons and to jump at home, but couldnt cope with competitions (I heard he'd been beated up in the ring as a 4yo which probably explained it!).

I sold him after battling with him for years. He's now very happy being a Happy Hacker with someone else

And now I have a horse who enjoys everything I do.
