Has anybody got one of these and if so what I want to know is if the brass buckles tone down a bit with use?
I have bought one and I like the bridle but my mare looks a bit like a police horse with all those brass buckles over it.
Wouldnt want somebody waving banners or football rattles at us mistaking us for a police horse!

Yes, they do look a bit shiny and dare I say 'tacky' at first but the brass (effect) does tone down and look nice after a while. My daughter always had Whitaker bridles on the ponies but I find Stubben and Albion better for the horses.

Yes, "tacky" is the right word.

It is a nice bridle but it looks "tacky" all shiny brass buckles. It's now sat in my tack room and I used my older one at the show today instead. Not the idea really! How can I tone them down a bit?
