I had the S series high wither. Not tried the TG compact though.
It was on an older TB with a reasonably high wither profile. It fitted him beautifully and he was very comfortable in it. I hated it however! I felt constantly tilted forwards even with the correct gullet bar (some people suggest this feeling is due to a too wide gullet fitted)
Speaking to another saddler after he suggested that its often an idea to go up a seat size if possible to prevent this feeling. He thought the seat shape and size slightly tilted the rider and that a half inch seat difference just put you in the better position. Might be something to bear in mind?
Thanks for the replies. It's the compact version I'm interested in.. Think I'm right in saying the K&M S series compact is the same tree/fit as TG T4/T8 compact but varying in leather & synthetics?
Anyway, I have a high withered 15hh short backed cob who is proving a REAL struggle to fit! Currently in K&M cob 17" but it's sitting too low on withers. Can't raise it with a narrower gullet as it's pinching behind wither... Heard rumours of the compacts rocking?? Saddler coming out AGAIN this pm...
