I saw these country boots on equestrian clearance and I was wondering what they were like? Are they worth the money quality/looks wise??
Thanks.

They are by far the best boots I have ever owned. It's just a shame people don't recognise them because they aren't Dubarrys or Dublins.

The boots are very sturdy, they don't fall to one side like the old Dublins and the heel doesn't wear very easily. I've had mine for a while now and they are really used- I wear them everyday down the yard doing stable duties and riding as well as walking the dogs in them. My boots have taken such a battering yet they still stand strong and look almost new [if you ignore the chewed string at the top thanks to a cheeky Shetland:rolleyes:]. I would recommend these boots to anyone, in fact, half my yard have them now thanks to me. The price really just rounds these boots off. Even if these boots were £150 I would still buy them, but £70? I almost died when I first saw them.

The only thing I could change is the toe. Like the Dublin's, the toe is relitively weak compared to what river/lake boots should be. It's not like the toe is flimsy, it is fairly sturdy, you would just expect something more.:o

TROT ON!
HoovesO'Steel(:

I haven't had these boots, but I can say I bought a pair of their steel toe capped short boots for only £20 nearly 10 years ago, and they have only just given up on me this last year. So from my experience very good quality for the money :)

Same, I had these ones, the short steel toe cap ones.
Very good I thought. The uppers came away from the sole a bit in the first couple of days where it was glued, but nothing making a hole so not bad, and they looked pretty battered almost from the start, but THEN lasted really well and seemed to stay looking the same as that from then on.
They lasted me about a year and a bit, until the sole went through, which is really good for me and I would get them again as work boots. Not posh enough for smart wear really.
What I did find was they came up really large and I could have gone a size down.

The long yard boots look nice.
