Kane gets a bath

Doesn't it make you sick, poor dogs lives are a complete lottery as to who gets hold of them,
I really hope someone takes him into their home so he sees his last days out in comfort,
don't suppose you could squeeze in one more ?

That site is very harrowing actually, the pictures of piles of dead dogs that have been pts cos no-one wants them is sickening. An obvious reason why indescriminate breeding should be banned.

Hmm the language can be a tad emotive at times, not all pound workers are evil barstewards (the Dog Wardens I know are fantastic) and as for the throwing kibble onto the kennel floor and not in a bowl, I know several people who that to prevent bloat, and one of them has been keeping dogs for over 40 years and they live in better conditions than most people I know! Their complex is bigger than our house!

Anyhoo, I digress....

Besides doubting all other aspects of his last owners dog owning skills, I must credit him with one thing, he did plan to let a veterinarian euthanize Kane, instead of just dumping him out in nowhere or "forget to feed him completely" in some shed on a backyard somewhere.

I must ask, is that some type of hairdryer being used in the last photo? Outdoors?

I was reading through their News and Events when I, amongst old news on the second page, saw a title from 2008 that actually made me a bit annoyed!

"Litter of puppies at Dogsfriends urgently need homes"

If responsible breeders shouldn't urgently need homes for their puppies, without should be able to provide a good home with appropriate care for their puppies, regardless of how long or short time it takes to find suitable homes to them, so should responsible rescues!

When Cayla's rescue recently was taken over by a litter of Spaniel puppies, she may have called them both this, that and the other, but she never said they urgently needed homes!

By the way, the litter was a GSD cross, hence the German Shepherd Dog Rescue tried helping Dogsfriends with finding homes for the puppies but, when it was posted 2008, they were only 7 weeks old.
Regardless if I believe it's okay for puppies to leave the breeder/rescue when they're over 6 weeks or if I believe they shouldn't leave until they're 8 weeks old, unless the rescue center/foster home e.g. has burnt down or something, should they really need to be rehomed urgently at that young age?

Maybe it's just a case of wording themselves really badly, but that doesn't change the fact that, that is what the title says.
