Does anybody have a pair of these boots? Just wondering if they are truly waterproof and warm? I have some Cabotswood ones which are great but not quite long enough for riding as well as on the yard.

Sorry, went away. No recommendations. Really don't know where to start, what the good makes are etc.

Might be wellies and thick socks for me for a bit until I've shopped around!

I can recommend the two sorts I have now to you, Fiona - they are both great and I ride in both, but was just going to treat myself to some slightly posher and longer for hacking. I have The Dublin Deluxe neoprene lined wellys which are warm and really comfortable, and also Cabotswood leather waterproof/breathable yard boots which I have worn every day since last autumn, snow and sun, and they have been perfect, just not really long enough in the leg ( some styles are longer than others I think).

Thank you, I'll have a look at those. Next time my mare stomps on my toe it might not be in mud!

Off to bed now. Goodnight. xx

I love my Kanyon boots although I think they are the Oak model. If I was going to, they'd be long enough for riding but I'm trying to save these for best plus I'm not riding ATM anyway. Found these boots to be very well made from good materials, very warm and waterproof, would certainly buy them again rather than other makes.
Just a word of warning though, I'm a size 5 which I ordered in the wide leg version; I was gutted when I couldn't get my foot down past the ankle point into the actual shoe part because it was too tight even though the width of the boots was brilliant; spoke to them and they suggested a size up, tried that and success easily, only trouble is I have to wear thick socks to take up the foot room and I would probably have got away with a normal width fitting too. Next time a size 6 in normal width for me. Speak to them, they're very helpful.

Thanks to both for input. Maesfen - would you say the boots were really good quality? It's difficult when you can't see them anywhere . . .

Like you, I hadn't seen them before they arrived and I was amazed at the quality of the materials and workmanship in them, far better than anything I've ever tried on which includes the Dublins, Toggi, Cabotswood and even Dubarrys believe it or not. When I spoke to the MD of the firm he was explaining how the materials are virtually identical as the D's but he couldn't justify the price that they retail at. I was hoping they would have been at Burghley this time, sadly not, because I and some of his other customers had told him he should get them out and seen at places like that; they're too good to remain a secret!

I have a pair of Kanyon Ash boots and they were supposed to be Waterproof and let in water the first time I wore them (thought it was just my feet getting a bit sweaty but no they let in water) and I also had a huge problem getting my foot down past the ankle part, I usually hop and stomp about and sweat buckets by the time I've got them on... I will admit they are quite comfy and warm when you have them on and are easy to get off just a pain to get on.....!!! and again not waterproof....!!!

That's a shame dizz4, I've got a pair of the Kanyon boots (can' quite remember which model) and they've been lovely, really comfy.

They did start to leak after 9 months but the company replaced them free of charge! Really can't fault them or the companies service (the shop I bought them in had to return them for me but it was sorted quickly and smoothly), second lot of boots are as nice as the first and I'm hoping will last longer!

I've personally had no end of problems with the Kanyon's I bought & found the customer service lacking. I wouldn't buy another pair again.

I've now got the Dublin Pinnacles, which I like as they are adjustable & very comfortable.
