Hi I thought I would let you know that, dressage rider and trainer Kate Crilley, from Wigginton, Oxfordshire,

Has lost her long fight with cancer and passed away peacefully on Sunday the 10 of October, she was 64.
Kate was a strong minded lady with her own opinion about most things, She helped many a young rider with dressage training over the years, and could always see the best in the horse she was teaching, and also had a strong opinion about being a dressage judge, so would not take up that part of the scene, It is only one persons opinion she said.
A true character that will be sadly missed.
Her Funeral will be at Banbury Crematorium Chapel at 12 noon on Monday 25th of October.

How very sad, I wasn't fortunate enough to meet her but she sounds like a real character. So sorry for your loss.

Very very sad to hear this, sincerest condolences to you.
I was fortunate enough to be taught by her many years ago when I kept my horses in the area. She was the first person ever to cut through the confusing mystique of dressage for me. She was an amazing lady and her passing is a loss to the horse world.

Dear Anthony,

First of all my sincere condolences to you. I knew Kate (not at all well) many years ago and was aware of her being held in renown for her skill and talent in producing young riders.
I wish you comfort and hope the happy memories come to the fore to ease the loss.

So sorry to hear your news. Knew Katie many years ago and she was a true horsewoman. Sincere condolences and sending thoughts your way. Sorry can' t get to funeral, but I'm sure there will be a big send off
