It makes me mad every time i see the trailer for the 'What Katie did next' series.

what she did next, what i do care about is the fact she is supposed to be encouraging young riders to the sport so surely should be setting a good example by wearing a hat!!
Rant over, thanks for reading it's been bugging me for weeks.

Actually Jodie Kidd can - she's great and a much better role model IMO.

If i had the paps following me everywhere,i'd make more of an effort to lead a good example to all the impressionable kids watching me!
ETS in fact i always wear a hat, so no effort needed.

She wasn't caught, it's a trailer for her new series, she new fine well she was being filmed and it was going to be on TV for all to see.
 
I feel quite strongly on this one too. I think she's missing out on a HUGE opportunity and sales potential - judging by all the littlies at daughters RS all in pretty pink jodhs etc, there's great scope for her to model a very fetching barbie pink range of hats with diamante etc, matching range of body protectors etc. Defintiely sickly but would sell well.

I hope for her little ones sake that she doesn't get kicked in the head or thrown into a wall - wouldn't take too may paparazzi with flashing cameras in the wrong place to spook even the unspookiest of horses IMO.

Maybe we're barking up the wrong tree and should be emailing the manufacturers eg Champion to approach her re a pink Katie Ford range, if not emailling Katie herself and educating her that she could really put herself in a good light / good publicity if she did this. She could also promote an own brand range of hair-recovery-after-being-squished-in-a-sweaty-helmet products.

LOL great idea! i'd buy some of the hair recovery product! Perhaps the hats do nothing for her features? maybe she could re-design the hat altogether to suit model features?

Katie does not need a hat she has built in air bags, and so much spray on her hair it acts like a hard hat.
If the Queen thinks a head scaf is enogh protection why should we argue.

Personally I think Katie Price is on self destruct. She is a law unto herself and doesb't give a t@ss what anybody else thinks about her.

I totally agree that if she wants to be taken seriously with her riding then she should lead by example. However I have seen lots of photos recently of the competitors at the National Dressage Championships warming up with out hats on. I rest my case.

If she wore a hat, it would probably be pink. And there would still be posts complaining about her.

Its a free country. Her choice. I doubt she has a job description which says "role model and mentor for young riders" so tbh, who gives a damn what she does?
 
Like you I don't care what KP did next, but you are very right, she is "idolised" (cant see why!) by young people and she should be setting a good example to her fans.

I would be very worried indeed if my daughter ever saw someone like KP as a role model, Jodie Kidd fine, but KP, Nooooooooooo!
 
But it isnt about the "becoming a world class rider" at all. I am sure she enjoys her riding, although there's no way of telling since you never see her with a smile on her face. The whole pink boots / horsebox / appearances at HOYS etc is all about marketing her clothing range. There are more girls that buy pink clothing than there are that ride, the horsy angle is just to give the media something to focus on while they are showcasing her clothes.

I can't imagine my daughter having the poor sense to see KP as a role model either (or wear pink ), but there are bound to be plenty who do.

Katie Prise is an idiot, end of! I can’t wait for the her to fall of and bust herself up just so it can be on the front of every newspaper and magazine. Just a shame she will make so much money out of it.

TBH someone has just posted some pics from the warm up at the europeans, non of them have hats on either so it's not like she's the only one!
 
QR It's her head at the end of the day. If she doesn't wear a hat so what!!! If she falls off and fractures her skull at the end of the day she is a grown adult. If she wants to take that risk of damage to her head if she falls off it is up to her and not up to anyone else to tell someone what they should or shouldn't be doing.
To be honest I couldn't careless if she did crack open her head because she didn't wear a hat. It's her head so it's her choice at the end of the day and no-one elses!
