Katie Price - aka Jordan's new baby.....

They have a lot to deal with, they both have lots of work with there jobs and they have harvey to look after! but some people wouldnt have anymore kids incase they turned out the same way! but they didnt care if they had another child like harvey! they deserve more respect!

I dont think anyone is saying they are bad people or bad parents, but calling your child Princess anything when you have no royal connections, is nothing short of ridiculous. And yes, I think the child will know somehow, when the teacher calls out Princess Tiaamaa in class and all her classmates make fun of her.

I'm sure the daughter is very precious and will be very well loved, but that doesn't mean that her name isn't completely bats.

Well said Spiral.
I don't think anyone here is casting aspersions on their parenting skills but just saying that it is a ridiculous name to give a child.

Actually this has nothing to do with prejudice - well not to me anyway. I wouldn't say I'm a particular fan of them but I certainly have nothing against them. I just think the name is awful (as are many of the names celebrities give their poor kids) - I dislike the Princess as, as others have said I think of it as a title. I also dislike the Tiaamii - mainly for the ridiculous [ QUOTE ]
We've put an accent over the first A to make it more exotic and two Is at the end just to make it look a bit different

Oh - and I don't have an unusual name at all.

I think its a...very excotic, should i say, name, I wouldn't call a dog that, TBH.
lol love their imagination, though!! Apperently they put both their mothers names together, Tia and Aimi to make Tiaamii. The first a has a accent as well.

You're missing the point.

What has it to do with anyone else what a parent calls their child?

My, how we'd all love to live in a perfect world where we were told what we could and couldnt call our children. Much rather mine had a different name than something common.

I think there are alot worse parents out there, from what ive seen they are good parents.

No one has said she CANT call her baby princess tirimasu, they're just saying its not what they would call their children.

Not comenting on whether or not they are good parents. Just the name Princess wouldnt be in my "names for baby" box.

Whereas some people manage to choose a name that is both different and common!

I am sure that whatever the child of KP and PA is called, it is going to stand out at school. There are some truly dreadful names around anyway; this is no worse than many.

I read the official announcement earlier and the baby is named Princess, because thats what she means to them and Tiaamii is a cross of both their mother's names, Thea and Amy and Tiaamii is pronounced Tia Amy, which doesn't sound so bad.
Think of all the other celeb kids:
Prince Michael, Prince Michael II, Fifi Trixie foo foo pixie (or whatever it is!), Peaches, Apple, Bluebell Madonna, Germajesty!!!... it seems pretty okay compared to some...

Much worse than Peaches or Apple?

Personally I do think it is worse! Apple and Peaches are kinda silly yeah - but then you get people called after flowers or herbs like Rose or Lavender or Rosemary - so its not too much a stretch of the imagination to get to fruits etc.

But Princess is on a whole new level. Its giving your child a fake title. Its just utterly ridiculous in every way. Why not just call her Tiaamii and leave the princess out, or just use it as a pet name [my grandparents did used to call me Princess Snowdrop when I was young but its not on my birth cert!].

Anyway, i think it's a beautiful name, after everything Katie and Peter have been through I think the name describes what this baby means to them. And added to that I think they're wonderful parents. You don't have to be a fuddy duddy to be a good mum.

and how do you know these comments are based on prejudice????
I like Jordon but think the name Princess is Pants

I actually quite like the Tiaamii bit - although I would forever be counting whether I had enough a's and i's! Think the Princess bit is a little OTT but I guess it's their choice. She'll probably be called Tia anyway although as an avid OK reader Jordadn does say this week that she doesn't want her being called Tia so who knows!!

Aw you beat me too it, I was just about to mention that she has said she doesn't want anyone shortening her name to Tia or something else I think it was Mir.
I do like the last part of her name but not the Princess part. I also don't like it because it may make her stand out from her brothers, or any future sisters she may have because of the reasoning behind her name if you get me?

I agree with you Katy. I really like Jordan/Katie, she seems like she's a fab mum and Peter seems to be happy to take on another man's child. I read her autobiography (the first one) recently and she just comes across as such a nice, genuine person.

I admire her for trying to be a good mum. She can't have an easy time of it with Harvey and, all credit to her, she looks after him herself rather than pay other people to do it.
