Katie Price Dressage test video

lovely horse! i think she did very well!

how annoying would that be having paparazzi filming and taking pics while your trying to get your horse to concentrate! I'd be pissed but then I dont have the assets to attract that sort of attention!!! :-)

Well done Katie. Looks like she's gone out and got herself a nice School Master with which to start her dressage career. A little wobbly at times, but the horse clearly has quite some movement - imagine how they'll look together in a year or so's time.

Brilliant! I really admire her.

How terrifying having everyone staring and filming!
I think she rode really well and what a lovely horse!
Why is it interesting she had the test called?
I'm sure with three children, numerous work commitments, etc, most people would struggle to learn a test?

And how great do her legs look in white jods. Yes I know the fact I noticed that makes me as bad as the paparazzi - but it's true! She's such a determined girl and a real grafter. If she sets out to do something, she'll do it.

I think she rode very nicely and quietly.
Fabulous horse who knows his job and will teach her the ropes.

Just wish unless you have the best hands DONT WEAR WHITE GLOVES... even if it looks nice.

Ummmmm..... Lovely and everything, but I'd like to have seen quieter hands.... errrr, bit disappointed really, I'd liked her to have been really fantastic.

It must be a real pain in the bum that it is now splashed across the papers that she is an olympic hopeful for 2012. I'd really dislike massive speculation on everything I do

To me there was a lot of moving around and shifting weight in the saddle, her legs too, and the horses head was swinging and lifting all over the place! it almost looked to me that the horse was too much or too big for her?!

Wonder how many of us could have ridden that very nice horse as well?

Not many I suspect............

Yeah I didnt think she was the quietest tbf; she wasnt exactly pulling the horse around but I think she needs the treatment my instructor gave me - baling twine handcuffs! She's one of those riders who, I think, looks the part, but is not particularly effective - a passenger as opposed to a pilot. But all the same, I would love her to progress and do really well - we've all got to start somewhere!

Um, back in the day I think I rode better than that. I'm not bragging, I just think I had a better seat, quiet hands and connected better.

Qr- good on her and beautiful horse but I'm not that impressed. I thought she'd be better tbh, i agree with Ripples about her hands , and to be she didnt look all that in tune with the horse.

Ooooh I would beg to differ there. I'd wager there are a fair few of us who have a lot more experience than Katie - and thus would be able to make that horse look even better. That isnt slagging her off - its just to say that whilst a schoolmaster can make a novice rider look good, an experienced rider can make a schoolmaster look exceptional, if you get my drift!

............. but it's not like she is a novice rider.

Nor am I. But many of us on a big striding horse like that, that has that bit of cadence and elevation that many of us very rarely get to sit on, and you'd be swinging around on your hands too.

Everyone that can do better - I'd like to see it.

Stop knocking her and give her some credit for goodness sake. All you're doing is reinforcing the fact that the horse world is full of 'I can do better b*tch*s'!

Whatever. That wasn't what I was saying, AM. But there's no point in trying to justify it to you.

I know I was bloody good before my RTA and I also think that KP is doing really well, just not as well as I'd hoped given that I like her.

It's a shame they couldn't just leave her to get on with her first test. Although she might like the publicity?

She's got someway to go before she'll be selected for the Olympics but Well Done her on coming 6th.

Her best known assets seemed to be stiller than her hands

you can be very very experienced at say breaking youngsters in, does that mean you can ride a dressage test on a horse like that?

depends where your experience lies surely?

QR: Deffo needs to get herself some nice black gloves - IMO there are not that many people who should be riding in white gloves at that level

I can imagine she was hugely nervous and so didn't put her leg on as much as she usually would and that would explain the tension through her shoulders and back too - I am sure it will come once she has been out more - I have seen her riding better on stuff that has been shown on TV so it is there. I do sympathise, I fall apart when I am dressage competing, I totally forget to ride!
