Nor am I. But many of us on a big striding horse like that, that has that bit of cadence and elevation that many of us very rarely get to sit on, and you'd be swinging around on your hands too.

Get off your high horse, missy - if you think this is 'bitching' then you really dont have a clue! Ever heard of constructive criticism? No one has said that Katie cannot ride - far from it. Just that she has a long way to go - which is surely to be expected, if she is just setting out in the competitive world?
FWIW I would happily get on that very nice mare! I'm no dressage rider myself - sure, I would like to be - but I have enough experience to be able to maintain a secure seat, whatever the type of horse I am sitting on. We're not talking about TALENT here - its about experience. And with time, she will improve - that horse seems perfect for her to make real progress with.
