Just remembered, there was a really good post a while ago asking about famous people forum members had met through their horses. I was quite surprised who was horsey and the fact that i'd never known. May be worth a trawl of the archives.
I think Katie Price differs as she is famous for being tabloid fodder, and my perception is that she measures her success by her exposure......
I think if the question was asked to cover any celebrity you may get a more balanced and sensible response rather than singling out Ms Price

she is looking to sock it to them as opposed to be run of the mill...and where better to post than HHO where you get such strong oppions lol

I don't particularly like her as an individual, but as the OP's question is on celebrities in the equine world, I would suggest keeping the botox and children aside:
A lot of people who don't particularly know a lot about the equine world seem to assume that it is a world where money can get you to the top. I was sad when Katie rode at HOYS because I don't think it did anything to dampen these thoughts, if nothing it made them worse.
I don't disagree with the way she keeps her horses, I just don't think she deserves to be riding at HOYS.
I also wish she would keep the vile pink clothing range away from me, I hate going to my local saddlery for things only to be greeted by shining gross bling.

Sour grapes, no the fact that i miscarried my baby at the same time she allegedly did, and i was also ACTUALLY sexually assaulted and raped and after being in contact with many ''survivors'' and councillors it takes alot for someone to come to terms with rape and it can be terriffying to report it. katie price undid alot of good work the day she chose to lie.
i hate hate hate her for trying to gain sympathy with such horrific lies. for example, ou do not run a marathon whilst you are miscarrying, and i watched her doing sit ups in a documentary awilst she was training for the marathon, something which every pregnant woman is strongly advised against.

katie price has a very good agent and business advisers.

Was there proof she lied about the rape? strong views you are throwing around there if no proof.

Anyone who has been assaulted knows it leaves a scar , people deal with things differently, I like Katie Price, I admire how she copes and does so well at it, be the most liked or the most hated so long as she s up there and talked about she doesnt care (good on you gal) no publicity is bad publicity in her eyes . Shes managed to accumilate a huge empire with her self as the product , all for the sake of having the balls to get some implants , bigger ones admitted lol , I respect her, for that, I respect her as a mother , even with all the money she cares so much for her children each and every one of them . Her private life is something she will never be able to hide, shes got the front to deal with it - pardon the pun.
I think she had done more good than anything for horses and dressage , if dressage profile was raised with people wanting to watch her at HOYS, then its good , very good, I have never met the girl, but I think she could bring a lot of good to dressage in the long run, after all she loves horses if her passion is dressage , support her, you never know what she could bring to this country in the long run, but I doubt if she would if shes not welcome , why cos shes famous? who are we to judge?

I couldnt agree more, i think shes an astute business woman who has her head screwed on, crikey if i had her money and opportunity to make her money the way she does.. would i do it?? hell yeah... good for her.
