Katie Price - riding advert?

Lol @ Paris Hilton - I like how she walked out of the hospital with a 'feel sorry for me - i've hurt myself' face on. I'd of had to get back on, finish what I was doing, muck out, feed etc etc.

As far as KP is concerned, I think alot of people wouldn't muck out etc if they had the money, that is basically what full livery is after all.

Saying that, I can't stand her personally, she fascinates me as she obviously gets something VERY right as she has LOTS of money and people are always talking about her. She just irritates me as I don't think she is a massively 'natural' horse woman (at one point in the video she gets off with whip all over the place, basically poking the horse in the face) and I just wish she would stop going on and on and considering herself 'the saviour' of equestrian sport.

So she filmed an advert and didn't pat the horse - who cares? I don't even like her and don't see a problem with this. Not that I will ever regard her as a 'horse woman' though. She doesn't seem to be particularly 'warm' towards horses but who says she has to be.
 
I don't want to comment on this ad specifically, but I really would like to get reasons why she is so hated? What specifically has she done to offend so many people here? I have seen a lot of slagging her off on this forum in the past. Do we really know people when we read about them in magazines or see them on TV? There is most probably another persona behind the PR face. I always think it's funny when people judge others from what they see in a magazine.

Some people on here are so petty! Its unbelievable how some can say she cant ride...she's a million times better than me! Does that mean I cant ride?

Is it wrong of me to admit that I am jealous of her? She has beautiful horses and she is a pretty good rider!!

I don't condone her behaviour in the past, but you cant deny that she has had a good effect on the equine world(I'm not referring to her ugly clothing range)...if she inspires youngsters to get outside away from their TV's and computers and out into the fresh air and onto a horse, that can only be a good thing right?

Should I run and hide from all the KP haters now?
 
I think for me I hate her cause she has a lush figure and loads of cash ;-)

I am trying hard on the business side to get the cash to get the bodily improvements, wont change me orse but I could have a flashy box, Porsche Cayenne, I would have better taste in clothes though ;-)

'All' I aspire to is to be bloody loaded and look like Barbie, might have to wait a while on the barbie lol, I have more chance on the loaded front in time ;-)
 
she has made her own money, not taken it off a parent or a husband - while most of us might not feel comfortable with how she started it (ie glamour) you have to hand it to her that she has kept her money and made it work for her! Actually I wish KP would use her influence on young girls to show them that the fact she has ended up with the money etc is not just about glamour/make-up but on handling and understanding it - as for the horses/kids digs - each one makes their own choices as to the best way forward for their kids/equines and if all are being cared for, its not for another person to preach that "their" way is better.

and as for the advert... well at least they missed out on my pet hate - the lovely floaty pictures of someone bareback, made up IN A WHITE DRESS and advertising.... perfume!!! when we all know you would actually be covered in dirt, slobber and stink of eau de equine!
