I didnt but friend's of mine were there. Apparently horse went well and she rode really well - although there were quite a few cameras, those big hairy microphone things that worreid quite a lot of horse, and were around the arena before Katy's test which distracted the horse before which I thought was a bit off. Also the really annoying thing was she did her test, came back to look at her score, and hair, makeup looked immacualte - thats really not fair!!!!! Good on her though for giving it a go.
Also - there were only 23 in the competition -not that it matters, she still did well! If you go on the Dressage at Hickstead website - the results are on there
Good for her for giving it a go. It made quite a few of the tabloids today, might help give dressage and the equestrian world in general an advertising boost, certainly if shes going to compete regularly then it might encourage more people to go along and watch whether they are horsey folks or not!
I agree - anything to raise the profile of all things equestrian is great. I think she did brilliantly - a real hard worker! How does she fit in the dressage tution amongst all the modelling work, trips, filming and the children?! I know she has help but its still a great acheivement for a first dressage test.

She could have the decency to have hat hair and a sweaty face like the rest of us!
Apparently the ideas and plots are hers but someone else does the actual writing part, including filling in the gaps between bits of plot. In that way she compares herself to a record producer...
lol what a clever girl! My little one has one of the books and loves it, so I don't suppose it matters who wrote it, but finding out that she didn't has made me smile.
Wonder what will happen with the equestrian line then, she'll supply an idea for say pink jods and someone else will design them. Brilliant
You can watch her test on YouTube! I am suprised she came that far up out of 27 horses, I dont encourage my clients to enter a comp until they are a bit better balanced and can ride the horse slightly on the bit! still they're not Katie Price, I suppose its good PR for her & Andrew Gould.
I think she did a really good job considering it was her first test. I wouldn't even want to watch my first dressage test! I think it is a shame people are giving her a hard time for having a go at something new - even if she has got plenty of money it still takes the same amount of commitment. Anything that brings more interest to the sport has to be a good thing. Good luck to her!

balls there was all this with zara and toytown you have to be a good rider to ride a good horse a novice cant just get on a wonderful dressage horse and go out and come 6th in a first test, yes she has good horses that are trained to a good level but so do most olympic standard riders dont hear anyone slagging them off.
its the ignorance than annoys me just because its ridden and trained to a certain level does not make it any better tempermant wise or any easier to ride at all.
If anything the higher level the horse the more tempremental i have found them in personal experience like the eventers i used to work with.
to be honest i dont think it matters if it is or not really i disagree so much when people make the comments that any of us could do anything if we had a wonderful horse its so bloody ignorant just because a horse is well schooled etc does not mean its an easy ride.
