KAUTO STAR & CARL HESTER?

I am sure lots of you watched Morning Line today, did anyone else immediately think, when Paul Nicholls said "I think he will try dressage" Carl Hester, Carl Hester.........

Lol that is exactly what I said when watching it, PN said he needed a very good rider and CS said he wanted him to try dressage, doubt it will happen though

As much as I agree Carl plus Kauto would be awesome, I was shouting at the telly "give him to Clifford, give him to Clifford!!!"..... big ol' softy me

Oh wow . . . talk about "Dream Team" and "Fairy Story" rolled into one. I'd love to see what Carl could bring out of Kauto Star . . . don't think it will happen though.

I thought that too but then Carl wouldn’t be able to ride him in competition at the lower levels. I suppose he could do the training and one of his working pupils could compete. Would be a very interesting pairing and no better man to see if the horse is capable. I just can’t see Kauto hunting or team chasing – I could see those sending him over the edge perhaps.
I just get the feeling there is a slight clash of opinion on where Kauto should live. Clive Smith seems keen for him to do dressage and be close to where he lives (where ever that is) and Paul Nicholls clearly wants him to stay at Ditcheat with him & Clifford. Horse would probably be happier in his familiar environment but wonder if it would lack the excitement of a day out he so clearly enjoys.
I hope I’m wrong, but I sense that a fall out between owner and trainer might be on the cards.

Whatever, he looked magnificent at Haydock on Sat and I hope we get to see more of him doing different things and living life to the full.

He’s been the racehorse of my lifetime that’s for sure
