Anyone use it?

What were the results?

Is it worth forking out for one?

I am watching this too, I would appreciate any feedback on this aid or something similar rather than side reins.

I am wanting to encourage a rather tense young horse stretch down on the lunge.

Amaretto - sorry for hijacking your post.

No probs,

think we are on the same wavelength - it's for my young horse too, just to make sure he learns to stretch for the contact.

I use clip on draw reins in exactly the same way for a fraction of the cost!
Just knot the end over the withers to the required length but be careful that both sides are identical in length.

Lovely way to lunge, really gets the horses stretching.

Hey guys

I liked the look of this too and found this at a fraction of the price:

Just don't use it like it is in the picture (over the poll). Use it like the way the Kavalkade one is used.

If you buy this to use as a Kavalkade one make sure it is long enough, because i have one and it doesnt fit like a Kavalkade and i only have a 13.2hh!!

I had one of these and it was a complete waste of money! Didn't work on any horse I knew - It's elastic but it pretty much fixes the head and dosent do anything to the hind end.

It's the hind end that you want to engage and work as well as the topline if you want the horse to work properly and have a nice outline.

The Kavalkade is not elastic. I have been using mine for 2.5 years on my own 7 horses as well as 6 of my liveries and it is a fab piece of kit. There is a video on www.horsehero.co.uk showing it in use by the Bechtosheimer's and they explain why they like and use it.

Horses work really well in it as it helps them to work long and low. Easy to fit, they can't evade it and really helps build up topline.

If the person doing the lungeing isn't great at it (like some of the liveries!!) then I can see why they won't like it as they can't grasp the concept that it's up to them to make their horse work rather than relying on a mass of rope to keep their horse together for them!!
