Morning all, I’m looking for a little help feeding wise and I’d like to keep it simple. My brain works best if I think logically. Haha
So...I’ve had a lovely barefoot trimmer visit me and my Clyde and wow what an improvement in her feet. I knew things weren’t as good as they could be and of course, feeding plays a big part in foot health.
I’d like to make some small changes to her diet. She’s currently fed 2 mugs of micronised linseed, two mugs of fast fibre, a Stubbs scoop of high protein nuts (she loves the crunch) and Forageplus young horse balancer. This is split over two feeds. The nuts have some GM nasties in and I’d like to replace it with a high fibre, high protein but low sugar nuts that more organic....for a better word. As you can see, I’m no expert.
So, basically I’d like to keep the linseed, fast fibre, balancer but need a better nut! What do you all use?
My Clyde is out 24/7 on (currently) poorish grass, access to hay ad-lib but she’s not a great eater and needs the extra bucket feed to keep her weight maintained. Thanks.
