anyone any suggestions on how 2 keep my feet warm when hunting?
i normally wear thermal bottoms, tight's and a thick pair of socks, of which i have tried ski socks, mountain horse winter socks and currently trying a pair of fluffy joules socks and still my feet and legs get cold.

also i have thought of investing in a pair of seal skinz socks but what do people think i don't want to invest that money if they are no good.

Make sure your feet aren't too squashed in your boots as need some space, I wear sock solutions socks they are brill have also got the ariat insulated boots in those and my socks my feet are fine on hunting days, those socks are brill, ours huntsman loves them as well!

Try some smart wool socks, they are made from merino wool which is very good for regulating temperature and is also breathable and wicking.

You can get a variety of thicknesses and lengths. I love mine.

Consider some insoles for your boots if you have room - you can get foil ones that reflect the heat back in. If you don't have room in your boots or can't find them, try wrapping kitchen foil around the inner sole of your boot.

another vote for smartwool socks.... but I found that the equitector boots made the biggest difference to how warm my feet were... since i bought them I only hunt in cotton socks!! :o

Ariat Bromont boots - mine are the short zipped thermal ones which I wear with chaps, with silver socks from the Reynauds society. These 'reflect' much of your body's heat back into the foot. I then put one other pair of socks over. As above, don't cram too much in, you need the free space around the foot for the air to circulate and this increases insulation.

I bought my OH a pair of the thermal socks that are in the link JoBo provided. He has poor circulation and suffers badly from cold feet. He can not believe the difference they have made this year in keeping his feet warm. My farrier uses the long ones and he said they keep him brilliant warm all day.

I regularly ride out on 3 and 4 hour hacks and wear Thermatex Welli-Socks under a normal pair of rubber riding boots. They are lovely and warm even on the coldest of days and I would recommend them to anyone.
