Any ideas ? A brown woolly mammoth imposter is now in my field! Gave him good old groom yesterday but still filthy. As he lives out no chance of hosing down so anyone got any ideas or do I have to now accept I will have a bay for Xmas :D

I don't have any tips but can fully empathise as I have one too!

A good deep scrub with fairy and warm water ...cold water just doesn't get the dirt out! I've used practically every brand of blue shampoo and the best by far is 'Brite Whites' by Horse Health.

Then stick on a good rug with a neck piece. I find the detachable ones much better than the 'all in one' type rugs. Loads of mane and tail over their body too so stains have less chance of 'sticking'. Pig oil all over their legs will keep the mud off too :)

A tail bag is a must if they have a grey tail! Keeps it clean and mud free - I swear by it!
