keeping leather tack supple

Hiya,

just wondering what the best way to keep leather tack supple is? Eg: what brands of saddle soap/conditioner are best, what to use to apply it to the tack, etc..

I use Ko-Cho-Lineevery now and then, I apply it with my hands.
For all other times I use Gold Label Soft Soap, it soaks in lovely and keeps my tack beautiful.

Ive just used for the first time NAF Soft Soap and its great stuff. Made my bride come really soft and smells gorgeous.

I like belvior. I got a bottle of lincoln because it was cheap but IMO it made the tack sticky. And you can't beat neatsfoot oil for tack that has got wet.

For softening and waterproofing I mainly use Lincoln superior leather balsam (it smells gorgeous and works a treat), with neatsfoot oil every now and then. For everyday cleaning I use Effax combi - its great! I use sponges to apply the Effax and the Lincoln, and a hoof oil brush and my hands for the neatsfoot.
