I am looking for the name of a product that I saw advertised a couple of months ago. It is a product that goes over the heels of the shoe and the bulbs of the feet and helps prevent the horse standing on his heels and pulling his shoes off. If anyone has any other products that they have used and works please let me know. For those barefoot enthusiasts out there please do not suggest this as it is not suitable for this horse. The horses' diet is adequate and he is fed supplements to support his foot growth and he has an excellant farrier.

Well, a sausage boot helped with Kal's overreaching . . . and over the summer we took his hind shoes off completely b/c I got tired of paying the farrier for new shoes.

I'm sure that didn't help.

I guess you've tried overreach boots? They have to be big enough that they touch the ground around the heel area so you might need a size bigger than usual, I find the Woof Kevlar ones are brilliant.
