Hi all

Am hoping to try and get my mare in foal this season. Stud is only 2 miles up the road so planning to walk in so life is as stress free as poss for her. Ideally I would like to try and do it as natural as possible in the way of tracking her season and taking her at the best time rather than injecting with pg. She shows very well when in season so shouldn’t be too difficult but just wondering if any of you have any tips, TIA

I'm not an expert by any means though my mare had live cover last year, but she doesn't really show at all so we had to scan her to tell when she was ready... but do you have a vet who can scan to confirm in foal? stud medicine has been stopped where I am due to the coronavirus. I wouldn't want to be breeding at the mo without being able to check for twins.

Not planning on taking her until stud vets back in action anyway, just thinking if I can monitor her seasons until it’s all back up and running at least I’ll have a good idea where she is at in her cycle for optimum timing!
