Hi,

Has anyone been on this? What was it like? Well orgainsed, busy? Think of tkaing my boy for the first time (we've been on one other farm ride and to Somerford a few times) but wanted to get a feel for the place before I go.
 
Love Kelsall!! Unfortunately I've only ever been 2-3 times and not for a few years (was with my last horse)
Fab fences, lots of places to have a good gallop, small fences AND bigger fences, mostly very exciting and lots where you can jump a fair few fences together if you choose :) Was never that busy when we went but seems a lot more popular these days now words got round! Water jump wasn't always open but that never really bothered me.....
Mind you, as I say that was a few years ago now :( Not get any transport now! And I want to go back!! :p
 
I go quite regularly. Ground is always good even in winter! There's a good long gallop stretch, a wooded bit, couple of hills, usually get to have a play in the water jump. Not always a lot of jumps on the ride itself (particularly the 2nd half) as sometimes they move them onto the xc course instead. Jump wise its not as good as Somerford. But well organised, good parking, nice cup of tea afterwards :)
 
Its great. Ground is always pretty good. Some tiny didy jumps aswell as bigger ones. When i've been its not been that busy, however ive not been for a couple of years. Theres a lovely canter stretch right along the border of the forest. Sometimes a few of the BE fences are open inc water but as the event is in a month it probably wont be.I felt safe going round on my own aswell because the majority of it is in view of the farm whereas somerford (even though i love it) are not as much. You should have a great time anyway :)
 
good news is I had an email from them and the water is definatly open this weekend. I will be going as a gentle introduction to cc before somerford booked in 2 seeks time ready for the event.

It's brilliant. We love it. Very well run, welcoming and clean. Have fun - we always do.
 
Well you may have got an e-mail telling you the water was open but it most definitely wasn't. They had also re-arranged alot of the course so you went all over the place. Grrrr.

Otherwise it was a great day. Would defo go again... and we are :)
