Last Nov 26, I found an emaciated puppy weighing 3kg, however in Cyprus where I live, this is far from unusual. His name is Clive.
He was extremely ill, hours away from death. He had poo in his blood - not the other way round - for 3 weeks. He also had severe mange. He recovered and now weighs 19kg, however he now has kennel cough with a severe, racking cough.
I have 6 dogs - 5 rescues and 1 PBGV. The others are all on antibiotics but Clive, due to having a weakened immune system is by far the worst. Only one other shows any symptoms - a slight cough when excited.
Can I give Clive anything for his cough. Ive steamed him under boiling water (not much fun in the heat cos i have to get under it too) but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. I am worried about him (a) getting pneumonia and (b) damaging his heart by coughing.
Any advice would bs greatly appreciated and I hope I haven't gone on too long.
Thanks Scatty
