It’s my own fault, I didn’t research it but when it was offered to my four month old, I said go ahead. The vet didn’t warn me that the inoculated pup could then shed the bacterium. Result - two elderly dogs with kennel cough and puppy presenting with symptoms. I understand that kennel cough is the equivalent of the common cold, but I am not happy that my two elderly dogs have to suffer it because I wasn’t given appropriate information.

I don't think it's your own fault at all. It's not your job to research stuff before having treatment carried out. That's the vet's job as a specialist in the treatment of animals. He should have told you of all the possible risks, side-effects and benefits etc during the consultation.
Hope your doggies get well soon!! Give them lots of cuddles and special blankies :)

Bless you! Feel a bit ****** though. Never had the vacc before on any of my dogs & the current mob have only ever had KC once, years ago.

Oh poor things, I have never given it to a dog so would be as flummoxed as you. Wrap them up and put them on cough mixture, I hope they are soon better.
