Hey I've never had my dogs vaccinated against this before and didn't intend to ever have them done (prepares for lynching :rolleyes: ) but overenthusiastic young vet took my 'I'll think about it' as yes please do it. So not sure if this is normal... They had the vaccine a few days ago and have started to cough, hack and splutter never done it before... :(
 
Yep those side effects are normal, I don't have mine vaxed:p, they do not go into kennels but obs there is still a risk and it's not very nice when they do get it, but they do build up a nice little immunity, mine do not get it any longer even if they come into contact with infected dogs, the first few times, they hacked like mad, but now, nothing!:D
 
Phew I thought they were either having a bad reaction or were getting an infection. A friend of mine uses something like 1 tea spoon of trixilyx (sp) if her dogs get kennel cough and it clears within a few days... it's a lot cheaper too :)
