Kennel Cough

T-bone (JRT) went for his vac on Saturday (2nd time we had to go as he refused it the first time!) and now he is sort of coughing, like he has something stuck / trying to be sick. There is nothing in his throat and he is eating normally and is bright and alert playing with Chimo.

Is he likely to have a mild form of KC? is there anything he needs (trip to the vets for antibiotics or something?)

He does not seem that bothered by it

Was it a vacination for Kennel cough or his normal booster? If it was for kennel cough its a live vaccine so dogs do show symptoms but in a milder form, if it was his normal booster then again they can be a little under the weather for a day or 2, I'd keep an eye on him and if he deteriorates pop him back for a check up.

Is he ok to go to dog school or will he be infectious (sp?)

I think they are mildly infectious, we got one of ours done who shows and one in the next kennel got a cough too ... but don't quote me on that
