Can anyone recommend? Not needed until September but thought I would try and get it booked up early- unless Cayla will accept a dog sent by parcel force???

Have you thought about paying a friend to dog sit for you? Dex might not be overly happy to be in kennels again having spent so much time in rescue and staffies are well known for disliking them too. I have a friend to come and stay at mine and pay her £20 a day. I also pay for my dog walker to come in and walk both mine daily but that way mine are not stressed and my friend now even takes them upto the yard with her. Just a thought!

Whatever you do Lexie do make sure you have the Intrac nose vaccine for kennel cough. It is absolutely rife this year,do it even if the kennels you choose don`t ask you to,and yes it does work quite well. The main injection vaccine will cover Para-Influenza ..the nose vaccine is for Bordetella..with both these up to date you should be fine.Get it done about three weeks before your off date.

Check with the kennels before you do this as many insist that if the KC vaccine is given it needs to be six weeks, at least, prior to the stay. ( as per the data sheet )
I have been in business for 21 years & never had a coughing dog on this regime. All the other kennels in the area who do want the vaccine get regular outbreaks.
