HI - anyone know where I can get a second hand one of these? I can't afford a new one and am currently having to borrow someone elses when they aren't using it.
 
Other than keeping an eye out on ebay, no other ideas I'm afraid!

If you like the K&M, but not so much the price, then have you thought about a thorrowgood? They are the K&M underneath, just without the leather on top. Great saddles, that suit alot of different shape horses and riders.
 
I hadn't realised that...... very interesting. I am usually very difficult to please when it comes to saddles and have just had to sell my much loved Swain and Humphries along with the horse it fit... I am currently riding my new horse in a borrowed Kent & Masters and actually like it for comfort, and I know they fit my horse, hence the search for one! Do the Thorowgoods feel the same to ride in do you know?
 
I don't notice a difference between a Thorowgood and Kent and Masters. The K&M is a bit heavier but that's about it. I think both saddles are fabulous and the synthetic ones really look leather.
 
We've just bought a Thorowgood T8 which has leather uppers and only the base is synthetic. Made by the same people as K&M and Fairfax. It is incredibly comfortable and both daughter and I far prefer it to our older K&M. Plus it's about £200 cheaper - hoorah!
 
I have a Kent & Masters GP! I bought it secondhand from eBay for around £350 - It was the only one I found in Havanna though! There seemed to be a few more Black ones on there...

I just kept checking to see if any were listed every couple of days and messaged the seller as soon as I saw it :) It's a very nice saddle

well sorry i cant be of help got mine new a year and a half ago and swear by it! will definitely never let it out of my sights so good recommendation but not sure where u will find a second hand x
 
Very happy reading this post, as I am just wait for the saddler to turn up with my spanking new one. And hoping my horsey likes it too.

I did have a Thorowgood Dressage and GP (for sale) and they are lovely to ride in just didn't fit my boy properly he is such an arkward shape.
 
I purchased a brand new Kent & Masters GP saddle for my IDxCob a few months ago & love it, it fits my mare really well & has a secure & comfortable seat which is good for me too.

Spent ages looking on various advertising sites trying to obtain one second hand without luck :(

In the end I had to save up until I could afford to buy a new one :)
 
I was after one and to be honest they rarely come up 2ndhand and when they do they are making at least £400.
The only leather Thorowgood saddle is the old L6 ( I know this on authority from Thorowgood themselves and my saddler) and I mananged to buy one of these and I must say it is lovely. I have seen 2 now come up second hand. You will pay between £250 and £300 for the L6. Make sure it is the L6 as all the T range are synthetic albeit sometimes hard to tell!
 
Saddle came yesterday and I LOVE it!!! it fits my boy beautifuly he is much happier.

Sorry OP this doesn't really help you predicament but I just had to tell someone lol keep watching ebay everyday it will be worth it x
