Looking for a new dressage and jumping saddle

saddler has suggested a kent and masters saddle but I've no experience of them so would like some feed back from anyone who has or had one - good / bad?

Also how do they compare to an albion saddle?

I have a Kent & Masters Cob GP, have had it for 2 months and I really like it :)

No idea about the Albion, although I know a couple of people who swear by them.

would go for the kent and masters, lovely saddles! (I have the fairfax gp, which is built on the same tree)

I have a Kent and Masters GP Cob too.
I've had it for a year and think it's a lovely saddle.
Sadly can't give you a comparison for an Albion though.

I've just got a K & M GP saddle and I love it. Horse at work has an albion jumping saddle and although it is very lovely I find the K&M more comfortable. Also would have thought it would be considerably cheaper than an albion?

my K&M jump saddle... love it:D

kent and masters saddle r very good I have an albion I hunt and was advised that the K & m would not last too long if it got wet would be no good for me so I chose the albion and love it mind you it was far mor expensive but if you don't do much rain it will be fine for you.

I absolutely LOVE my Albion saddle, can't imagine not having one tbh. Have tried loads and found it the best for me. Have heard the K&M ones are good too!

cant understand how K&M wont last long if it gets wet - the same applies to any saddle surely, if it hasnt been appropriately cleaned/treated/protected. I rode in a pi&&ing rain in mine last week and its fine.

I would go with the K and M. Albions are made of lovely leather but they often have a lump on the tree which can be felt through the panel

Neither, I loathe and detest Albion uncomfy for me and horse hated it. K&M saddles are the same as Thorrowgood but leather, TG saddle was too tight on my boy's shoulders (his scapula was hitting it and getting bruised) fitted his back perfectly.

Love my Jeffries saddle!

I've not seen a K&M saddle, so I don't know about them, but I do have a bit of experience with Albions.

The Albion K2 GP tended to tip me forwards, and I found it wasn't great for riding my tricky TB. Also, I found the leather really slippery and I had to buy suede seat jodhs.

The Albion K2 Jump saddle, does give me a lot more security, and allows me to sit in a better position, and it's made of much nicer leather, so I would recomend the K2 Jump saddle but not the K2 GP.

I was going to get the new kent and masters due to its value for money as I dont have loads of money, but I tried it and found it uncomfortable and the seat was really hard, went for a second hand albion instead. And I now swear by them, going to get another one for other horse.
Definatly Albion!
