Hey everyone,
Another tack thread from me! I like the look of the KenTaur Metz Short Stud Girth but haven't really heard anything about KenTaur before recently talking to a rep person :) So onto my point, I was originally keen of the Equipe short stud girth but obviously it's very expensive and if KenTaur is nice then I might get one of those instead? :) also I'm sorry if this is posted at some ridiculous time - I'm in a different time zone ;)
 
I have a ken taur dressage girth. It's good for the money, well made and smart. Being picky I'd prefer it was softer lined. It isn't as soft/padded as my passier.

Soft is preferable but I can always use a sheepskin liner, can't I! :) besides its more than a hundred pounds difference! I do like the look if the Equipe though....

They aren't as soft as some other ones out there, but with oiling and looking after, they do soften a bit.

And I find they clean up pretty easily. A bit of saddle soap and some oil or leather conditioner and they come up like new. :)

And I will admit to borrowing one or two for an event... lol

Haha :) that's good, are they softer than Mark Todd? I don't mind if they're not super soft :)

Haha, it will be fine. And if you keep it oiled its pretty soft. We have a Paris Stud Girth, a Metz stud girth and a York stud girth. :)

If I was a horse, I would prefer it to those wintec CAIR girths *toddles off to hide the CAIR dressage girth* lol If I could afford (or had access to one to borrow) the Geneva dressage girth from Kentaur I would gladly use it as well as the stud girth.
We use them without sheepskin and don't have a problem. :)

Oh okay :) haha, I think I'll get the Metz stud girth ;) But I refuse to give up on buying the Equipe v-check breastplate - it's amazing and Purtyyy
 
I have two of their jump saddles, and a breastplate. Excellent quality for the money, the leather looks good and they've worn well, love them.
