Hi everyone,
Hope you’re doing well

I’m in the process of sorting my new horses wardrobe and are going through the usual pattern of scrolling the internet endlessly looking at all the lovely rugs out there.

I usually go down the Premier Equine route using the liner system which works lovely, however I am REALLY very tempted by the gorgeous Kentucky Horseware rugs that are available.

Does anybody have any experience using them?
How did you get on with the fit, durability etc?

Thanks so much!

Firstly, congratulations on the new horse.

I haven't tried the Kentucky rugs but would recommend Rambo's too, particularly the optimo if you're a fan of the deeper cut PE style rugs. They also use the liner system which is the easiest way to go with rugging IMO.

For a moment, I thought Horseware had brought out a new range and was hoping it filled the gap left by the discontinued Quarter Horse rugs.
Haven't tried Kentucky but am interested in the bibs for rugs that they do, but not sure if it would work.

Thank you so much!

And for your recommendation.
Now see, I love the look of these, the cut... everything! But having I’m having a real problem finding it in stock in a 6’6!

Oops! Sorry, haha.
Hopefully somebody will post and help review for the bibs too.

If it's any help you normally need to go down a size in them so you'd probably actually need a 6'3.

I have the stable rug with the fur collar and a quick dry cooler. The stable rug rarely gets used by me as it’s so heavy but it is gorgeous. The cooler I found brilliant in the warmer months for drying off quickly before putting them back in the field etc. I think it will make a good travel rug too when it’s warmer

both are lovely rugs and made very well. Can’t comment on washing as they’ve not been washed yet.
