Kentucky

enjoyed watching that. Didn't mention earlier but I thought Will Coleman and Diabolo's round was VERY classy - and it was quick but without looking at all manic. Serious potential for the future with those.

didn't enjoy watching either of Boyd's rounds - it always seems to be scrappy and chaotic by part way through. Thought Harry seemed slightly off form but at least he got two round safely (and the save of the day from Superstition)

enjoyed watching both of Tim's rounds - kind of the opposite of Boyd, he seems to have a really cool head and makes sensible decisions - I'd have loved to see Vitali get a bit closer to the time, but I enjoyed watching a round that just looked smooth and unstressful

and i'm not sure how David Doel and Galileo Neejrehwhneghe manage to look like they're not going wild for the time and then be miles inside

great day for the thoroughbreds - Artist deserves to be at the top and hope he can hang on in there with a fence in hand. I thought Sophia Hill was looking a bit scrappy before being held, but then rode a beautiful round afterwards - and Humble Glory is a wickedly good showjumper so hopefully she can climb up even higher than 8th. Also Malibu Preacher with Alex Conrad is a full TB and they went steady as a first time pair but did a really nice sensible job.

Didn't enjoy HSH Blake's round that much - looked like he was just running through the aids....

and Tom and Brookfield Quality also looked like they were making it a bit harder work than they'd have liked

joint rounds of the day for me are Artist and Corvett though. Corvett the 6th fastest around the track despite hanging in the air for an extra second over every fence :D

Pretty much my thoughts!
I’m not a massive Harry fan at the best of times if I’m honest, but he wasn’t on great form today. I’d like to see how Graffenach goes for someone else, not that it’s likely to happen

(And another nice Diarado coming through, not that I’m a tiny bit excited about my 3yo!!)

She went pretty well for WFP! Harry's dressage will always let him down.

Apparently tim was riding with a shoulder injury so did well to finish on both. I liked Alex Conrads round too.

I agree. Harry is a wonderful rider, but he really needs to do something about his dressage if he wants to achieve big wins. There's a part of me that thinks he just enjoys riding at the top without winning. Honestly, I sometimes find it bizarre that he is the current world number one (in a nice way! :D) Guess it's mostly down to the amount of horses you have and decent results....Oli and AN are perfect examples. Nowadays, it's hard to believe that Mary King had around 6 horses when she was the first official world number one in the 90s!
