Does anyone have any unbiased safety information regarding KEP hats? Do they conform to all the latest BETA safety requirements?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
I do not know what safety standards KEP hats currently hold, but if anyone is considering buying a KEP helmet do read through this thread first.
https://forums.horseandhound.co.uk/threads/warning-kep-riding-hat-safety-please-open.703085/
And read that thread in the light of the fact that the safest hats are now MIPS hats, which stands for Multiple Impact Protection System, whereas according to that thread, KEP think that their hats falling apart on one impact is a safety feature.
Check out the appalling customer service, too!
.
Sadly I think you could find a similar story for every hat manufacturer.
Correct, but they should absorb the impact and remain intact. Take falling off and then being kicked in head. Head could hit the floor and then you get kicked in head…..No but a hat failing in a major impact situation.
