Keratex hoof hardener?

Losing nails, overreached yesterday and pulled a front off and split hoof. Farrier has had to fill in as well, a friend recommended Keratex.

kevin bacon hoof dressing it HIGLY recommended by every one on here. I wanted some but could not get. Apparently works wonders. I have just started using marting and carr hoof moisturiser

I used Keratex and found that the hooves got increasingly more brittle and started to crack and split, to the point where half the shoe was held on by thin air coz the nails were just not in foot!!!

Farrier recommended putting...... wait for it....... nothing on the feet and letting them be natural (not talking barefoot just no hoof dressings)..... have gone from crap to brill with no cost involved!!!

Thats what I call good advice!!

Yes and nothing it what I've always used - too lazy - on our other horse and she's lost a shoe once in 2 years. I think with good shoeing/diet Duke's will improve with time.

I think the main ingredient in Keratex is something similar to formaldehyde. I wouldnt put it on my horses feet!

Kevin Bacon Hoof Dressing is about the best you can get.
