farrier has told me to use keratex on the soles of abby's feet....... is it ok to do this i was only ever told to use it on the hoof wall??

I was told never on the frogs.

Yep fine on the soles but not on the frog as cellie said.

its to try an harden up her soft soles

I used it to harden a sec A's soles, worked a treat, but tried it on the hoof wall and all it did was make it brittle

I just bought some today! It says on the instructions to use about halfway up the hoof but not up to the coronet, and on the sole but not the frog.
