Just seen a pair online and wondered if anyone had any experience of them in the flesh (so to speak :D). It's hard judging what they're like from an online photo alone and they're over £100 with P&P to buy. I'm looking for something super grippy and that'll be warm for cold, wet winter riding.

I haven't got the warm version but I love my kerrits, they are super sticky and these ones are on my wish list :)

I've got some, I find them super warm and very waterproof. They dry really quickly too which is handy. Stickyness is great, like the other kerrits, I dont ride in anything other than full seats.

How do the Kerrits compare in stickiness to the Gorringe 400 ladies pro seat jodhpurs? These are half the price and, although a lot lighter weight and nylon, might also fit the bill if they were as 'sticky' as the Kerrits ones.

[QUOTE (Can you tell my 5 year old is going through the tantrum stage in her education!!?) :D:D:D[/QUOTE]

Yep - have same problem!

they're super-sticky and very warm too. just 1 thing, if in doubt size up from normal Kerrits size, because the fabric of these is much less stretchy.

Ah, thanks. Worth knowing in advance.

I dunno. Which should I choose? Must admit it would be nice to invest in a decent pair of winter wear jods, tho.... But can I really justify the expense? Decisons, decisons......

what size are you? i have a Small pair (bought off ebay, a bit snug on me, I thought they were Medium) in a sort of browny-grey colour, vgc, if you'd like a cheap pair?

Arrrgh, if only

Rekon I'll be squeezing into a large I'm afraid. :o But thanks for the thought. :)

Do you want me to send you my large pair to try. I have somehow ended up with every size, not quite sure how that happened, ebay confusion between US and UK sizes I think. I have SO many pairs of thermal breeches that I can spare them for a week or two... they're black btw.

Ive got 2 pairs of Kerrits - one with the sticky bum and I love them. They're so much comfier than normal jods. Only thing to note is that if you want to use them for competing - personally Id say get white ones. Their 'beige' isnt proper beige, its sort of a greenish shade which I find a bit too not-beige to compete in very often. Im saving up for a white pair ;)

kerrits are seriously sticky!wellworth themoney, mine are on year 5and still going strong,i wear and wash them every other day in thewinter, wearing them all dayriding and mucking out the whole yard. definately recommended

I have them and totally adore them. Just in the process of finding some more actually. I use the Flow Rise Performance in the summer and the Sit Tight N Warm in the winter to cover all bases.

New saddle arrived last week and they have kept my bum securely in the seat despite it's shiny newness :)

Ooh, they sound lovely. Kerilli, how small is small? I am a 26 in Pikeur? Would your small pair fit me?!

Im so tempted to get a pair of these but not sure on the sizes. Im a size 10 and wonder if the small will be ok?
Those who have a pair, what is the sizing like?

I think mine are gripstretch if I remember right. Just looked at the site and they have slightly changed the style since I got mine. The sit tight supreme have griptek but aren't winter weight, guessing their meant to be stickier. Have to say mine do a darn good job anyway, any more grip and I may struggle to rise in trot lol (this happened the first time I wore them!)

I'm a 28 or size 10 normally and I use the medium. I'm relatively short too. I can't stand overly tight waist bands or camel toes tho lol

Yes, I was guessing the GripTek was going to be 'stickier' than the GripStretch but wanted to be sure. I'm leaning towards the winter weight ones (so GripStretch ones) because we're going into winter now but they are expensive and if the Sit Tight Supreme full-seat ones with the GripTek material are noticeably stickier, maybe I should opt for those for year round use? I dunno. Decisions. Decisions. If they were cheaper, I'd buy both and test them! But I haven't won the Lotto (yet! :D)

Also, lady at Threelows said she didn't like the material of the Sit Tight Supremes; reckoned they were nylon and rough feeling. Makes things even harder to choose :(

The material of these is thicker than normal Kerrits so they are slightly less stretchy.
I'm a 10 in normal clothes, 26 or 28 in Pikeur, Cavallo etc, in these I have all 3 sizes of these but the Mediums are best, the Small are just a tiny bit too firm for my liking for winter when I'd rather have them not super-tight.
In normal Kerrits (Flex Tights etc for Spring, Summer, Autumn) I'm Small or Medium, both fit great.
Spyda, these are seriously grippy. A few times I've thought I was out of the side door (Extreme Duck Avoidance Manoevre by young horse) and they've just stuck me to the saddle. I think mine are Griptech, the sticky bit doesn't feel stretchy.
They're definitely winter weight, the Sit Tight Lites are much much finer.
Not sure what the lady at Three Lows is on about, they're not rough feeling at all... ?!?!?!?!?

Mine are definitely not rough feeling. Their like fleece lined 100 denier tights, snug and warm and uber comfy and the sticky seat is something like a moleskin/firm suede feel (not sure how to describe it really but not rough!)

Just found my orginal ebay purchase and these were the ones I brought (if it helps):

Kerrits Riding Breech Winter Power Stretch Fleece Lined Fullseat

It was in reference to the Sit Tight version, described as, ".....very synthetic in feel and rough". Maybe she means the inside lining against the rider's skin? Although she suggested I consider the Microcord breeches (any softer on the inside linings?), which I won't as I dont think these will provide the greatest grip from the selection available. The response was in answer when I'd enquired after getting a white pair; something suitable for hunting/competing - as sadly the winter Sit-Tight ones don't come in white, do they?
