apparently the solid one gets very hard in the winter so maybe the liquid? I have just bought a massive tub of the solid so may have to buy it a fleece for winter

We use the solid, its great and as someone said, last longer.

In the winter we put a few drops of warm water in the tub, mush up with the brush and apply it normally.

Solid. yes it does get hard in the winter but I find I don't have to use it much then anyway. But if you do need to use it just put the tub in a bucket of hot water!

My sentiments exactly! Just watch out if you have a dog - mine absolutely loves it and steals my hoof oil brush given the chance!

Don't worry, the liquid makes their hooves look nicer!

I've tried both (the solid one in a hot water bath in winter), and I prefer the liquid. IME it lasts longer

I bought the liquid but my cob x finds it tickleish if I brush against her hair (very hairy legs) with the brush handle, so I am going to buy the solid next time for her, but will stick with the liquid for the others

My farrier said the liquid one is just for winter as it gets too hard but he prefers the solid one as it stays on the hoof longer than the liquid one
