Key ingredient for good feet

Pretty much what the title says, if you were to recommend including one item in a horses diet, be it a feed, a supplement etc which would it be to help develop good hooves??? :)
 
Magnesium, definitely. My lad went very footy without it this summer. I buy calmag which is less refined than the one mentioned above but I only pay £17.40 for 25 kgs which lasts about a year. It can taste funny though so try before you buy if you can. I disguise mine in copra meal and haven't had any problems.
 
I'm also torn between two.
Micronised liseed is brilliant stuff but adds weight
Gelatine powder, cheap and effective.
I think if I was feeding to strengthen just feet, I would opt for Gelatine, even my farrier was impressed at the improvement in deep cracks/TB hooves
For overall benefits I would opt for micronised linseed, it helps skin feet and weight gain
