No one told me there was a bloody great ditch at the foot of the steps!

Anyway we actually did a really nice test (39.5) after nearly clearing out the warm-up arena, she took offence to the spurs so I had to take them off!

SJ I had the first two down as she wasn't concentrating but that woke her up and she went on to jump the rest beautifully.

XC I was actually really pleased with her performance XC the course seemed a little inconsistent with some jumps being intro level and some novice level. She jumped the big corner well, also the step down to the upturned tub which was enormous and apparently causing a lot of problems! there were a couple of other large jumps but I was ecstatic that we jumped the first two elements of the coffin clear (We have problems with ditches, stupid Arab!). Three fences from home we hit the step and ditch, and she saw it at the last minute and I nearly ended up in it

So after that there was no way she was going anywhere near that again! I was pleased with her though as she has never seen a step with a ditch and as I have already said hates them anyway so I can't really blame her for stopping, though it was very frustrating being that close to home

My son had one of his there for the intro this moring and another in PN going cross country pretty soonish. Calvin was fine XC and dressage but managed to hit 4 (OMG) show jumps. It is his first outing so we are hoping that the SJ will improve.

oh no I didn't actualy fall off but it was a close thing

I hope all goes well for your son today seza, and loads of people were having fences down yesterday I think the SJ was well built!

Thanks - it is my sons horse but he has a friend riding it as he only showjumps. It is really well bred but unfortunately a bit careless. We were really pleased as he ended up 10th as he went clear XC.
