It slashing with rain, its 6am, the alarm goes off Ive got bad PMT and I wonder why I am getting up.....I leave hubby in bed with the cat snuggled up.. he is coming up later to get the box and drive us there.....so I get a call at 9am... the box's battery is dead.. bugger... he tries to wake our friend whose box it is..no answer
I then telephoned the house and luckily woke up her boyfriend!!
with which he apparently came out of the house with his dressing gown on no shoes, trudging in the mud, went and got a fork lift from the yard and hey presto started the box!! Phew!!
So all ready, put smart new rug on (cheap from USA !!), off we go to load......nope we dont, Mister dug his heels in
I tapped with school whip...doubled barrelled at me!! Bugger!
Then again.. then again.. by this time back bandages are coming off.. (he hates bandages/leg guards anything) so I took them off... still no joy..Then I took his rug off..Guess what? He walked up that blooming ramp like no problem?
Got in the living area to find my friends dogs had "played with the beanbags in there... no fitted living... just huge space!!".. so can you imagine it looks like it has bloody snowed in there!! Those things stick to everything! I sat in a chair with my legs up in the air trying to put my jods on without getting them blooming white "beads" in my bridget jones knickers!!" I think I succeeded.. just!
So arrived at Keysoe, yup, peeing down, WINDY!! He was warming up well and then they gave me a 5 minute warning... 15 mins before my time
... out we went to the arena with the new boards and yes, markers laying flat... I panicked... my poor hubby calling the test will not know when to call the movements.
... we he did very well, bless him, he kept on looking at the other arena to see certain markers when calling for me! LOL!! I kinda knew the first test anyway, but the second one only vaguely!!
Finished first test, very pleased!
although I was tense and could have ridden better
...... went to put Mister back on box......he would not load! GRHHHH
so hubby walked him around whilst I looked at the second test......
Warmed up for too long I think, he was not as engaged and I was knackered!! (too many cigs I think
) had to do a change at x just through trot... ummmmm...he got confused... keeps on wanting to leap and do a flying change now!!
so got a 5 for this
.......
Anway, probably boring the pants off everyone now so will tell you the end....
We won both 68.4 for first one and 67.6 for the second!!
Oh, and when we went to load again I said to hubby I bet it was because he had saddle on.. guess what, we took the saddle off and he walked straight up that blooming ramp
Horses eh?!!
Here ends the story of the day. The end!!
