Oh blimey. Funny timing as I had some discussion on Facebook as I’d heard it wasn’t going to be hosting any of the big events any more and was instead just going to be available for training. It’s a great venue and they’ve spent loads on it so I really hope it remains an active competition and training venue.

My understanding is that they’ll be focussing on their own competitions - the KISS unaffiliated showjumping etc! When you compare the prize money they offer for SJ (£200/300 if I remember correctly) to BS, it’s more attractive to competitions and they don’t have to pay BS.

Yes but when you find the same old Grade A horses gallop around every week and take all the prize money you may not be so attracted

Oh agreed - but they’re not pitching it to me…they’ll get the entries and pocket more. The new owner is a businesswoman and will look at how to get the most profitable outcome!

looks like she’s investing a lot into the venue though so will be good for training, and the shows that people do go to!

They're not running any shows anymore. The owner has stated on her own page that she does not like running national shows and will not be running anymore shows now.
