I am yes and thank you very much. I don’t think Sarah should even have to come to a post to defend herself in the first place… so if we could look at it in the way that if unkind things about her and her personal choices hadn’t been put on this post for her to defend then she wouldn’t of said anything in response…

I did not question anything you said, I commented how commendable her support for your child was and how she destroyed any good will that sort of generosity would normally warrant by her disgraceful attitude on this thread. I stand by that statement.

The only question I asked you was if another person you had previously very quickly made another rare appearance on the forum to defend, was also your friend?

Please don't twist anything I may have written to be seen as an attack on a child fighting bone cancer that would be extremely distasteful and I am sure it is better if you did not bring your son's illness to attack posters you might not agree with.

I hope your son continues his recovery as I am very well aware of the distress of having a sick child and sadly in my case, the outcome wasn't what I would want anyone to go through. So please can we not use our children to score points on something that is relatively so very unimportant and frivolous as this thread.

I didn’t mock you, I mocked fmd90 - I used what you had written to make a joke, the joke otherwise had nothing to do with you. I hate it when people confuse the subject of the joke with the target, pet peeve of mine 😂

I’m sorry but who are you to tell me where I can and can not mention my son’s illness. It’s not like I came on here and mentioned it out of context now is it? I mentioned it was the reason we came to know Sarah and I also mentioned it was something the saddle company had helped with too… and I have not attacked anyone YOU questioned me… you can see as you have looked up my reply to the saddle post that I came to say I had saddles from them and my experience with them I am not friends with them but when I saw they where being ‘attacked’ as Sarah has been on this forum I wanted to help by sharing my experience as o have done so here too.
I’m sat in shock at the last sentence if I’m honest… knowing what it’s like to have a child go through what mine has I would never ever accuses someone of using them to score points when they are sharing the acts of kindness from two separate parties that bought light into their life at a time of darkness… how on earth am I scoring points by sharing how they have helped me… what an utterly disgusting thing to say.

I wouldn't say that the utterly vile things she has posted on this thread are her defending herself. Far from it, she has gone on a wholly unwarranted attack and has needlessly damaged her own reputation all by herself.

I absolutely was. The lack of ppe in the hospitals, the massive order placed that proved unusable. The huge loans handed out that funded a variety of things. My neighbour bought a Ferrari instead of paying his staff for instance.

I mean this isn’t my HR issue so…also no one is being bullied or trolled…the only person doing this is Sarah herself so if I’m challenging anyone, it would be her…. if there was a challenge to be had. But there isn’t. So I’m not. 👌

She didn't have to.
I was pro them keeping it private if they wanted to, especially given the EAL etc work being done (given I'm autistic) she started in her first reply to me calling me sensible and then I come back to her having followed up suggesting I eat pot noodles . . . . because I pointed out that usually people that work and CARE about disabled people don't use ableist slurs not in real life, not on a forum, ever. I can't believe they even think them let alone type them. I'm surprised you're apparently ok with that?


I'm pretty disappointed in her response given I had previously been giving the same rational support re. it's up to her what she wants to do with it on facebook too. Guess I won't ever be going because my conscience won't allow me to now, luckily there's a good cafe just down the road for bike stops instead :) they're lovely :D
 
The mention of pot noodles is very confusing, I've never eaten one and don't think they are appealing but I'm sure that says no more about me and what type of person I am than someone who loves them? I'm pretty sure we (society) can't tell whether someone has all the positive attributes desirable in a human (kindness, empathy, good manners, a good work ethic, strong moral compass etc) just by their diet. It sounds like the Edwardian/Victorian belief in phrenology.
 
As teens we had them lined up in the kitchen for the YO's mum to fill with water for us so we could have something hot, though I think I only ever had the own brand options, actual pot noodle too fancy! It had been ages since I'd had one so it was quite exciting, I even got to pick my flavour from the residential lorry pot noodle stash.

Well being stuck in the edwardian/victorian era could explain a few of the comments I guess. . .
 
My parents were proponents of the 'if I didn't make it then you're not eating it brigade, so pot noodles were out as well as any pre-prepared food such as pizza, sauces in a jar, shop bought biscuits etc. We basically were fed 1950s boarding school food: meat and two veg and stodgy puddings. They didn't eat pasta until the mid/late 1990s or buy a microwave until 2005, but will now eat oven pizza from Waitrose so there's progress 🤣
 
My Dad didn't eat pasta for a long time either 😂 they've gone wild since though.

We always had own brand smash though, and a fellow pupil practicing DofE meals was appalled this was even a thing. . and I was like err we eat it all the time... (the trials of 'posh' school. . )
 
Considering pasta is just flour, eggs, salt and oil you'd have thought they would have been less suspicious of it, but I suppose as it wasn't something they were brought up with it seemed a bit alien. My mother was far more adventurous (and not British so had grown up with a bit more culinary variety), but had to cook to please my father so we all had the same. I used to go wild when I saw the food at other children's parties, I thought party rings and mini pizzas (bought bases, homemade toppings but still seemed exotic!) were the height of sophistication when I was about seven or eight years old!

Read what I put. You basically said Sarah has to take all the shit and say nothing. So what you did in 17 years is let people take all the shit and do nothing about it? Take bullying and trolling and let it roll off your shoulders was your advice?.... this forum thread wasn't started by sarah. H&H have removed some of other people's post so they have deemed it bullying. Why H&H have allowed this to continue is a absolute disgrace.

It was the current government who F'd up regarding PPE contracts, amongst many, many, many other things.

If I'd been a supplier I don't think I'd have turned down a life changing contract. I wouldn't allow anyone into my private equestrian estate and I'd try to help others. Apart from the manner it had been delivered, I can't find fault with what thr Keysoe owner is doing.

I am jealous! I tried really hard to win £190m on the Euromillions last week. My plans for the money weren't far off what Keysoe's owner appears to be doing.

As rude as the owners posts might have been maybe hho needs to look at what they write and how they respond. Mindless gossip initially and then constant "poking the bear". It's not a good look for the majority on this thread.

I mainly live off green pot noodles if that matters 😁

Yours was the only post (i believe) that used the word leprechaun.

There was no sh!t being given, it was an all round general discussion. Until the lady herself waded in with her less than savoury replies.

We’d all have taken the money. What we wouldn’t do is speak to people in the manner this woman has on the back of taking our hard earned taxes!

I was only thinking the other day the forum had been quite quiet lately and then just dropped on this thread!!! Been speed reading to get to the end before it disappears - actually been shocked at some of the responses from a so called ‘professional, cleverer than thou’ person (who I also hadn’t heard of before) and find it hard to believe it isn’t a wind up 🤔

It must be way more than 20 years since I had a Pot Noodle BTW!

It was as you saw speculated about it being a wind up, but there is another thread elsewhere in this Forum where a poster states they have been threatened via a social media platform by the person that made those responses!! :(

I do wonder if humble pot noodle was called ramen and marketed differenty it would be seen as posh, because they a base for many meals, just like pasta. Being asked round for ramen is chat up line. I like them dry when I am really hungrey and always used to have several pots in the lorry.

Well that escalated quickly…

It’s so nice to see such measured and professional responses to the concerns of the general public, by those who have somehow found themselves in a position of financial power. I’m reassured that the government has chosen to do business with such kind and compassionate people.

I think that’s what I mean, anyway…
