If anyone is planning to travel to Keysoe on Sunday morning, please be aware that there will be a large cycle race in BOTH directions on the B645 from St.Neots to Tilbrook. Also both directions on the B661 from Grafham Water to Great Staughton. Villages on the route are Hail Weston, Great Staughton, Stonely, Kimbolton, Tilbrook and Perry.

Local villages have be warned to expect 'major disruption' from 8am to 1.30pm.

Thanks for this. I'm off to Keysoe for cross country training on Sunday.
I suspect my husband will be in with the cyclists. I know he's doing a sportive that day; it's not meant to be competitive, but usually is!
I'll ask him what how busy it's likely to be; the roads won't be closed, but passing cyclists en masse in a horsebox is always interesting!

Thanks for the warning - Increasingly going off the idea of Sunday showjumping..... needs to be done but this makes it even less appealing! Maybe if we school as well while we are there it will seem less horrid :)

Roads are open but will be slow as the cyclists are riding same route in each direction twice. Therefore little or no chance of overtaking.

The event is the English Middle Distance Triathlon Championships, and they are expecting up to 500 competitors.

Bottom line is allow lots of time to get to Keysoe on this route.
